Notes that talk with you: one daily question grows into a map of your values.

Built by a Gallup-Certified coach, the app turns one daily question into a living map of your own values, based on research tested across 49 cultural groups

TOYOHASHI, JAPAN, September 1, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Rin, Inc. has released the English-language version of 'Notes that talk with you', an AI coaching notebook, on both the Apple App Store (version 1.0.10, published August 30, 2026) and Google Play (version 0.1.40, published August 29, 2026). The app is now available in both Japanese and English across all 175 App Store territories. In Japan, where it launched first, the app holds a 4.7-star average rating on the App Store.

The app asks a single question each day. What a person writes reshapes a map of their own values across eight axes -- Growth, Challenge, Contribution, Connection, Stability, Integrity, Joy, and Freedom -- drawn as a radar chart that updates with every entry. The axes are arranged in opposing pairs, so a gain on one is paid for by a loss on another, making trade-offs visible instead of flattening them into a list of traits.

The eight-axis structure is the company's own arrangement, built on top of Shalom Schwartz's theory of basic human values. The circular ordering that theory predicts has been reproduced across 49 cultural groups and 53,472 people (Schwartz & Cieciuch, 2021, Assessment 29(5)).

Beyond the daily note and the values map, the app includes a three-minute values quiz that returns one of sixteen values characters, an AI coach that has read a person's map and talks things through with them, and a two-person view in which two people can overlay their maps by sharing a QR code. Comparing the two maps side by side shows where each person's values actually sit -- one may lean on Challenge where the other leans on Stability -- so differences between two people stop being an invisible source of friction and become something they can talk about.

The app also ships with guided works: short, step-by-step sessions in which the coach walks through one theme at a time, such as sitting with a feeling that refuses to be forgiven, or turning a vague goal into today's one small step.

"I spent five hundred coaching sessions before I built any of this," said Hiroshi Tsuruta, founder and CEO of Rin, Inc. "What actually moved people was almost never my advice. It was the moment they put into words something they already knew but had never said out loud. When you can see your own values, you can choose your days."

The app requires no account and no email address -- a person starts by typing a name they would like to be called. All eight axes of the values map are available on the free plan, and the map updates every time a person writes. A paid plan, Notes+, adds more coach conversations per day, a deeper-thinking model behind the coach, and the remaining guided works.
