CHANDLER, AZ, UNITED STATES, September 1, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Story Monsters LLC and Book Street Press earned 12 Official Selections at the 2026 San Diego International Kids’ Film Festival, held August 21–23, with projects represented in the Screenplay, Audiobook, and Original Song categories. When the winners were announced, Story Monsters / Book Street Press received an award in each of the three categories.

Three Winning Projects

Screenplay Showcase Winner: Sixty-Minute Shakespeare: A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Published by Book Street Press and adapted by Professor Emeritus Cass Foster. The screenplay was also selected for a live Screenplay Showcase during the festival.

Best Audiobook - The Case of the Missing Pink Piggy - Audiobook Edition

Written by Linda Harkey, illustrated by Mike Minick, narrated by Immy Dymott, and produced by Studio Story Monsters®, a division of Story Monsters LLC. The audiobook is part of the Story Monsters® Little Read-Alongs™ collection, which brings children's books to life through narration and multimedia storytelling.

Best Original Song - The Great Animal Escape Theme Song

Inspired by The Great Animal Escape, written by Linda Harkey and illustrated by Jeff Yesh. The song features music and lyrics by Zachary Simpson, is performed by Erin Rementer, and was produced by Studio Story Monsters®.
