U.S. Conducts Fourth Strike on Drug Vessel Near Venezuela

(MENAFN) The United States executed an additional military action on Friday, aiming at what was described as "a narco-trafficking vessel" located near the Venezuelan shoreline, according to Pentagon leader Pete Hegseth.

"Earlier this morning, on President (Donald) Trump's orders, I directed a lethal, kinetic strike on a narco-trafficking vessel affiliated with Designated Terrorist Organizations in the USSOUTHCOM (US Southern Command) area of responsibility.

"Four male narco-terrorists aboard the vessel were killed in the strike, and no U.S. forces were harmed in the operation," Hegseth stated on the American social media platform X.

The operation was executed in global waters near Venezuela as the ship was believed to be carrying "substantial amounts of narcotics - headed to America to poison our people," he further noted.

This marks the fourth such military action by the U.S. in recent weeks, focusing on vessels purportedly involved in smuggling banned substances.

"These strikes will continue until the attacks on the American people are over!!!!" Hegseth asserted.

President Donald Trump remarked that the mission halted a significant delivery of lethal drugs from making its way to the United States.

"A boat loaded with enough drugs to kill 25,000 to 50,000 people was stopped, early this morning off the Coast of Venezuela, from entering American Territory," Trump declared on Truth Social.
