Rough weather causes tail strike of IndiGo plane

(MENAFN) An IndiGo aircraft encountered a tail strike while attempting to land at Mumbai’s international airport on Saturday amid challenging weather but successfully touched down on a second attempt.

According to reports, the Bangkok-Mumbai flight suffered a tail strike during its initial landing attempt around 3:00 a.m. local time. The aircraft, an Airbus A321, had to execute a low-altitude go-around due to adverse weather conditions before making a safe subsequent landing.

Over 200 passengers were on board at the time, and no injuries were reported. The aircraft sustained minor damage in the incident.
